Step 1: Create your account

Step 2: Copy your embed code
In the dashboard, navigate to Settings → Widget → Embed Code. You'll see a single-line JavaScript snippet. Copy it.
Step 3a: Add to Shopify
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Edit Code → theme.liquid. Paste the FloatChat snippet just before the closing </body> tag. Save. Your widget is live on all pages instantly.
Step 3b: Add to WordPress
Install any 'Header and Footer Scripts' plugin (or use your theme's custom scripts section). Paste the FloatChat snippet in the footer scripts field. Alternatively, use the FloatChat WordPress plugin — it adds the widget automatically without touching code.
Step 3c: Add to Webflow
In Webflow, go to Project Settings → Custom Code → Footer Code. Paste the snippet. Publish your site. Done.
Step 3d: Raw HTML
Open your HTML file and paste the snippet before </body>. Works on any static site, Next.js, Nuxt, or custom framework.
Customise the widget
Back in the FloatChat dashboard, use the Widget tab to set your brand colour, launcher icon, greeting message, and operating hours. Changes apply in real time — no re-publishing needed.
